The Federal Police have apprehended Kingsley Nebo, a prominent realtor and executor operating under the alias “Executor of men,” in Enugu. Nebo, who runs the Enugu-based real estate firm Dandatec Real Estate, is accused of sponsoring the killing of 25-year-old Sochima Onoh on July 12, 2025. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the young man’s death.
In a shocking video confession, Nebo admitted to paying killers N1 million to carry out the murder. Authorities also captured five of his accomplices, though many others remain at large. Nebo’s plan allegedly involved targeting someone from the community to incite a communal clash, which he intended to use as a pretext to seize and grab lands through the Enugu State Geographical Information System (ENGIS). This tactic, he confessed, mirrors his previous schemes in other communities disguised as communal conflicts.
Adding to the controversy, Nebo boasted that he had the Enugu police “in his pocket.” However, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG FID) intervened by deploying a special squad from Abuja to apprehend Nebo and some of his accomplices for a thorough investigation. The family of the deceased has vowed that Sochima will not be buried until justice is served, ensuring he can rest in peace.
The case has sparked outrage and raised questions about corruption and land disputes in the region. Authorities are continuing their efforts to track down the remaining suspects as the investigation unfolds.
