Nsukka Youths Celebrate Governor Mbah’s Transformational Leadership at Empowerment Summit

The Nsukka Youth General Assembly hosted its maiden Empowerment Summit on October 4, 2025, at Adada House, Nsukka, marking a significant milestone for the region’s youth. The event, led by Hon. Ambassador Dr. Clinton Ogbonna, President of the Assembly, showcased gratitude and recognition for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s impactful leadership in Enugu State.

In a series of posts, Sen Chijiikem Uguwanyi highlighted the Assembly’s unwavering support for the governor’s progressive policies, constructive engagement, and collaborative efforts to sustain development gains. The summit served as a platform to empower Nsukka youths, enabling them to rise and uplift their communities. Dr. Ogbonna expressed eternal gratitude for the governor’s role, noting his focus, resilience, and unprecedented transformational leadership that has restored Enugu State’s glory on the global map.

Governor Mbah’s administration, now in its second year, has delivered verifiable economic growth and tangible development across critical sectors. Achievements include the dualisation of the Opi-Nsukka-Ugwuoogo Nike Road, completion of the International Conference Centre and Hotel Presidential Enugu, smart schools equipped with modern digital technologies, and ongoing road projects enhancing rural access. The governor’s inclusive governance has also driven educational reforms, healthcare upgrades, and youth empowerment initiatives.

The Assembly distanced itself from recent dissenting publications attributed to the Nkanu Youths Organization, affirming that such opinions do not reflect the majority view of Enugu State’s youth. They emphasized constructive criticism as a democratic right but condemned intentional misrepresentation for political gain, praising Mbah’s openness, accessibility, and goodwill.

As beneficiaries of these unprecedented achievements, Nsukka youths hailed Mbah’s leadership as a model of responsibility pursued with courage, proactiveness, assertiveness, decisiveness, and consistency. The summit underscored a collective call for unity and continued support, positioning the youth as partners in nation-building rather than tools for political agendas.

The event concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment of all contributors, with the Assembly committing to sustained collaboration with the state government to build a brighter future.
